PUBLIC NOTICE

ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc., Colville River Unit, Alpine Airstrip Apron Expansion Unit Plan of Operations Amendment

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (Division) received an amendment request on November 19, 2019, from ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. (CPAI) to modify the original Unit Plan of Operations of the Alpine Field Development project. The proposed development will be authorized under AS 38.05 and 11 AAC 83.346. The Division is providing public notice and an opportunity to comment.

Location: Approximately nine miles northeast of the Village of Nuiqsut.

Project Description: CPAI is requesting authorization to expand the Alpine Airstrip apron located within the Colville River Unit. CPAI will place 14,000 cubic yards of gravel and
250 cubic yards of erosion protection off of the northeast end of the airstrip, impacting 1.3 acres of tundra. Once completed, the expansion will allow for easier and safer maneuvering of aircraft.

A copy of the final decision will be sent to any person who provides written comments. An eligible person affected by this decision may appeal or request the commissioner’s reconsideration in accordance with 11 AAC 02.
