Verbal De-Escalation Training

The Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is seeking a contractor to train identified staff, using a training-of-trainers model, on a verbal de-escalation method that is compatible with the One-on-One Control Tactics physical management training currently employed by the division.

In order for offers to be considered responsive offerors must demonstrate how they meet these minimum prior experience requirements:
1. The offeror must have ten (10) years of experience providing the proposed verbal de-escalation Instructor Training to law enforcement, juvenile justice, or corrections agencies.
2. The identified instructor(s) must have three (3) years in the last five (5) of experience training in the identified verbal de-escalation method as a master trainer.
3. The identified instructor(s) must be familiar with providing the verbal de-escalation Instructor Training to law enforcement, juvenile justice, or corrections agencies and have provided Instructor Training for law enforcement, juvenile justice, or corrections agencies at least two (2) times in the past five (5) years.
An offeror's failure to meet these minimum prior experience requirements will cause their proposal to be considered non-responsive and their proposal will be rejected.

Deadline for Receipt of Proposals - by 2:00PM Alaska Time, Tuesday September 3, 2019
State of Alaska issues Notice of Award – by September 6, 2019
Contract start date – September 9, 2019
