Extension of Lease in Deadhorse, Alaska

Subject to AS 38.05.070(e), the Division of Mining, Land and Water (DMLW), Northern Regional Land Office (NRO) has received an application for the following: to renew a current long-term lease in Deadhorse, Alaska. Pursuant to AS 38.05.070(f)(2) the DMLW has made the decision to extend the lease for a maximum of two years. This will allow DMLW time to consider the application to renew the lease. Notice of this extension is provided pursuant to AS 38.05.070(g).

PROJECT NAME: ADL 64473 Lease Extension Decision

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Approximately one-half mile northeast of the intersection of the Spine Road and Lake Colleen Road in Deadhorse, Alaska.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Tracts 22 and 23A of Alaska State Land Survey (ASLS) 76-227, Survey of North Slope Lease Tracts, Deadhorse, Alaska within Sections 18, Township 10 North, Range 15 East, Umiat Meridian, containing 16.14 acres, more or less.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: July 9, 2019
End: July 8, 2021

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: August 1, 2019

The public is invited to comment on this decision. The DMLW is notifying the public that the NRO has decided to extend this lease for a 2-year period. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Northern Regional Land Office, 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, Alaska 99709 on or before 11:59p.m. on the date noted above.
