Cook Inlet Natural Gas Storage Facility
The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to issue an Owner Requested Limit approval (ORL) AQ1242ORL02 to Cook Inlet Natural Gas Storage Alaska, LLC for the Cook Inlet Natural Gas Storage Facility under Alaska Statute 46.14 and regulation 18 AAC 50.

Location: 60º 32’ 34.34” N, 151º 12’ 50.00”W
Activity: Installation of turbine, withdrawal heater, and TEG reboiler. This public notice is for the draft ORL only.
Emissions: The potential to emit at the stationary source will not exceed 40 tpy of NOx by limiting NOx emissions from 8 emissions units to not exceed 36.8 tpy. This limit will also keep other regulated air pollutant below the minor permitting thresholds under 18 AAC 50.502(c)(1), the Title V permitting thresholds listed in 18 AAC 50.326, and the construction permitting thresholds for a major source of hazardous air pollutants under 18 AAC 50.302(a)(3).
ADEC Preliminary Review: Based on review of the application, ADEC has made a preliminary decision to approve the ORL for the Cook Inlet Natural Gas Storage Facility.

Opportunity for Public Participation: Notice is also given that any interested person may present written statements relevant to the draft documents by the close of the public comment period. Written comments will be included in the record if received by close of the comment period. ADEC will consider all comments received and make any changes ADEC finds beneficial or necessary to assure compliance with 18 AAC 50 or State Law. Any person may request a public hearing and that hearing will be held if ADEC finds that good cause exists. ADEC will issue a final decision to issue or deny the permit after the close of the public comment period. ADEC complies with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
