Anchorage and Fairbanks Superior Court Vacancies

The Alaska Judicial Council will hold public hearings to receive comments about the applicants for the following court vacancies:

Anchorage Superior Court at Noon, on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at the Boney Courthouse, Supreme Court Courtroom, 303 K Street, Anchorage, Alaska. The applicants applying for the Anchorage Superior Court are: Roberta C. Erwin, Donna J. McCready, Peter Ramgren, Michael R. Smith, and Shawn Traini.

Fairbanks Superior Court at 12:30 p.m., on Friday, May 17, 2019, at the Rabinowitz Courthouse, Courtroom 203, 101 Lacey Street, Fairbanks, Alaska.  The applicants applying for the Fairbanks Superior Court are: Brent Bennett, JB Brainerd, Earl Adrian Peterson, David L. Roghair, Kirk Schwalm, Amy J. Tallerico, and John Foster Wallace.

            The Council will meet in Anchorage on May 15-16, and in Fairbanks on May 17, 2019, to interview and nominate the most qualified applicants for the vacancies, and to discuss administrative matters. The Anchorage position is due to the non-retention of Judge Michael Corey, and the Fairbanks positions are due to the forthcoming retirement of Judge Douglas L. Blankenship and the appointment of Judge Bethany Harbison to the Alaska Court of Appeals.
