ADA-06572 Proposal to Extend a State Airport Land Lease at Bethel Airport

The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to extend Lease ADA-06572 (Lot 1, Block 9), consisting of approximately 33,000 square feet, at Bethel Airport for an additional five (5) years. Applicant: Alaska Department of Public Safety. Annual rent: $9,306.00. Authorized uses: Non-aeronautical – Reconstruction of the interior of the existing building, exterior landscaping, and development of a vehicle parking area. Maintenance and operation of an administrative office facility in connection with Lessee’s state agency responsibilities including coordination of the enforcement activities associated with the Division of the Alaska State Troopers, Fish and Wildlife Protection, Motor Vehicles, and Fire Prevention. Temporary outside storage of confiscated items of evidence.

This is an application filed under AS 02.15.090(c), which allows the Department to grant the proposed lease term extension without competition. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., April 8, 2019, after which the Department will determine whether or not to extend the lease. The Department’s decision will be sent only to persons who submit written comment or objection to the Department, at the address and by the date and time specified in this notice, and include their return address.
