ADA-06676 Proposal to Allow Use of State Airport Land at Bethel Airport

The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (Department) proposes to issue a license/permit to allow the use of a strip of land designated as Item 19 (ADA-06676) at Bethel Airport for fifteen years without fee. Applicant: U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Authorized uses: operation, maintenance, repair, replacement, and removal of Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS) equipment including, but not limited to: field sensor group(s), acquisition control unit, communications and peripheral equipment, antenna(s), and connecting cables together with electrical power for operation of the U.S. government-owned equipment.

This is an application filed under AS 02.15.090(c), which allows the Department to grant the proposed license/permit without competition. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., February 28, 2019, after which the Department will determine whether or not to execute the license/permit. The Department’s decision will be sent only to persons who submit written comment or objection to the Department, at the address and by the date and time specified in this notice, and include their return address.
