Notice of Application for a Solid Waste Permit to Operate a Medical Waste Treatment Facility, B & P Waste Services Inc, Fairbanks

In October 2017 the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) revised regulations regarding waste treatment facilities to require that medical waste treatment facilities, not located within a hospital or other regulated medical facility, operate under a solid waste treatment permit issued by ADEC.

ADEC has determined that the permit application for B & P Waste Services Inc. for operation of a medical waste treatment facility is complete and proposes to issue the permit for the facility.

Project Description B&P Waste Services Inc. is an existing facility that operates an autoclave and post treatment shredder to process and treat medical waste.

ADEC is seeking comment regarding the proposed permit only.  Notice is given that any person interested may present written comments relevant to the proposed permit to ADEC.  Written comments will be included in the record if received before 5:00 p.m. on March 07, 2019.
