Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that the Alaska Universal Service Administrative Company (AUSAC) filed TA29-998, seeking Commission approval of various conforming revisions to its tariff necessitated by recent regulations approved in Docket No. R-18-001. AUSAC is the entity selected by the Commission to administer the Alaska Universal Service Fund (AUSF).
Specifically, AUSAC proposes to remove references and material related to Public Interest Pay Telephone and state Lifeline support, and proposes to reflect the reduction to Dial Equipment Minute support, the recasting of former Carrier Common Line and Carrier of Last Resort support elements into a combined Essential Network Support element, and the introduction of an AUSF surcharge factor cap of 10 percent.
AUSAC requests an effective date of January 1, 2019, for the tariff revisions contained in TA29-998, to comport with the AUSF surcharge rate approved in TA28-998.
