NOTICE OF UTILITY APPLICATION
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on June 18, 2018, BlueArctic Waste Solutions, LLC (BlueArctic), filed an application for authorization to acquire a controlling interest in a regulated public utility. BlueArctic currently provides residential and commercial refuse services in Anchorage, Eagle River, Whittier and Girdwood. Docket No. U-18-053 was opened to address this matter.
Jason McDonald, current general manager of BlueArctic, proposes to acquire 49% ownership of BlueArctic’s voting securities.
No motions for waiver were filed with the application. BlueArctic has filed a petition for confidential treatment of Jason McDonald’s financial information. Interested persons may file a response to the petition for confidential treatment with the Commission by 5:00 p.m., August 1, 2018.
The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application. The Commission will rule on the petition for confidential treatment and determine whether the application is complete by August 31, 2018.
