NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR LAND LEASE TERM EXTENSION
: The State of Alaska, Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (Airport), Lake Hood Seaplane Base proposes to extend Land Lease term under ADA-04983, as follows:
LESSEE: Alaska Wing, Civil Air Patrol (AK CAP).
AREA: Block 8, Lot 1B, 2B approximately 51,598 square feet.
LAND LEASE TERM:  Five (5) year term extension, for a cumulative lease term of forty (40) years.
LAND RENTAL RATE: AK CAP rent is waived.
PROPOSED AUTHORIZED USES:  AK CAP: use and maintenance of the premises for search and rescue activities of the Lessee; fueling, parking, and maintenance of Lessee owned or leased aircraft; fueling and parking of CAP member owned aircraft during search and rescue operations only; Lessee membership meetings and training sessions; and storage of Lessee owned equipment and materials.

This file is available for review during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, at Lake Hood Seaplane Base Office, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, located at 4451 Aircraft Drive, Ste. H, Mail Stop 2544, Anchorage, Alaska.  Comments may be submitted in writing to: Attention: Tim Coons, Lake Hood Seaplane Base, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, 4451 Aircraft Drive, Ste. H, Mail Stop 2544, Anchorage, Alaska, 99519-6960,, but must be received by 4:00 P.M. on or before April 20, 2018, after which the Department will determine whether or not to execute the Land Lease.

This is a request filed under AS 02.15.090(c), which allows The Department to grant the proposed term extension without competition.

The Department reserves the right to correct technical defects in lease language, the premises' description, lease term, or the purposes of the lease, and to reject any or all applications when to do so is in the best interests of the Department.
