                                                 NOTICE OF WATER RIGHT APPLICATION

                                                                               LAS 32046

Pursuant to AS 46.15 and rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, notice is hereby given that an application has been received from City of Wales, PO Box 489, Wales, AK 99783, to appropriate water as follows: 4.55 acre-feet of water per year, January 1^st through December 31^st, for public water supply from Village Creek by means of an infiltration gallery located within the Southeast one-quarter of the Northeast one-quarter SE1/4NE1/4, Section 32, Township 3 North, Range 45 West, Kateel River Meridian.  Priority date is November 6, 2017.

Water use is for a public water system for the City of Wales. This water right is appurtenant to the City of Wales’ water distribution system located within Sections 31 and 32, Township 3 North, Range 45 West, and Sections 5 and 6, Township 2 North, Range 45 West, Kateel River Meridian, Cape Nome Recording District, Second Judicial District, State of Alaska.

The public is invited to comment on these actions. For further information on the subject, please contact Andrew Harrington at the above address or telephone number. The Water Resources Section must receive comments in writing by 5:00 p.m., February 23, 2018 at the above address to be considered. If issued, a permit may be extended for good cause shown, pursuant to AS 46.15.110 and 11 AAC 93.120(f), without additional public notice.
