Commissioner’s Call for Oil and Gas Exploration License Proposals in the Nenana Area

Call for Exploration License Proposals

 

Under 11 AAC 82.909, the director of the Division of Oil and Gas (DO&G), under delegation of authority from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) commissioner, is issuing a call for proposals for oil and gas exploration licenses within the Nenana area. The area to be offered for licensing consists of state-owned, unencumbered land within T. 2N., R. 6-7W.; T. 1N., R7-8W.; T. 1S., R. 7-12W.; T. 2S., R7-13W.; T. 3S., R. 7-13W.; T. 4S., R. 8-13W.; T. 5S., R. 9-13W.; T. 6S., R. 9-13W.; and T. 7S., R. 9-13W., Fairbanks Meridian, Alaska. A map of the area to be offered for licensing is provided as an attachment to this notice.

How to Submit Notices of Intent and Proposals

Clearly mark submittal(s) as “Notice of Intent for an Exploration License Proposal in the Nenana Solicitation Area” or “Proposal for an Exploration License in the Nenana Solicitation Area” and send to:

Notices of Intent Must be Received by 5:00 P.M., February 6, 2018; and Proposals Must be Received by March 8, 2018 (11 AAC 82.909(b)).

 

To submit a proposal, please complete the Exploration License Application form, available at http://dog.dnr.alaska.gov/documents/programs/exploration_license_application.pdf

provide the required attachments, and send all documents to the address listed in this announcement. Submission of an exploration license application within 30 days of this notice, satisfies the requirement of providing a notice of intent to submit a proposal. An individual or company interested in submitting a notice of intent or exploration license proposal must provide proof of minimum qualifications to conduct business with the state of Alaska as specified under 11 AAC 82.200(a). Additionally, the minimum exploration work commitment for a proposal in the Nenana area is $750,000.00.

 

Proposals must be received within 60 days from the date of this notice to be considered (11 AAC 82.909(c)). If multiple proposals are received and the commissioner finds that an exploration license should be issued, the commissioner will request competitive sealed bids from each applicant who submitted a proposal. 

 

The DO&G complies with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act 1990. On request, this announcement will be made available in alternative communication formats.
