Background          
The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) approved the amendment to the Valdez Marine Terminal Oil Discharge Prevention and Contingency Plan. The Prince William Sound Regional Citizens Advisory Council (PWSRCAC), the Prince William Sound Aquaculture Corporation (PWSAC), and the City of Valdez jointly request an adjudicatory hearing on this decision.

The Office of Administrative Hearings has granted an extension of time for the Spill Prevention and Response (SPAR) Division to respond to the request for adjudicatory hearing. The department will extend this same opportunity to the public. Any person who wished to file a response to the request for adjudicatory hearing must do so by serving a response on the Office of the Commissioner, Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, by January 12, 2018. The Commissioner or his designee will issue a decision on the request for adjudicatory hearing pursuant to 18 AAC 15.220 and 18 AAC 15.210.
