Notice of Utility Tariff Filing

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Chugach Electric Association, Inc. (Chugach) filed TA445-8, seeking to revise its “Payment of Bills” provision. Specifically, Chugach proposes adding language stating that payments for service may be made by cash, check, debit, or credit card through a variety of payment channels, including Chugach’s website, over the phone, by mail, or in-person at Chugach’s office.

In addition to establishing its methods for payment, Chugach proposes that beginning March 1, 2018, Chugach will accept credit card payments without charging a third party attendant transaction fee. Chugach proposes that no more than two credit card payments totaling no more than $2,000 will be accepted within a 26 day period per member account.

This notice does not contain all requested revisions and the Commission may approve a rate or classification that varies from those proposed.
