NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FOR A CERTIFICATE OF NEED
THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES
The Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is in receipt of a Certificate of Need application for the health care facility construction project or activity described below and in accordance with 7 AAC 07.060 will conduct a review of the application.
Project/Activity: Wildflower Court, located in Juneau, Alaska is proposing to add four more skilled nursing beds, targeting individuals who need rehabilitative services and those in need of short term and long term skilled nursing care. Wildflower Court anticipates a cost of approximately $16,070, and a project completion date within four to six weeks of receipt of a Certificate of Need.

In accordance with 7 AAC 07.042 notice is hereby given that any person planning to submit a certificate of need application for similar activity in the same proposed service area must submit a letter of intent to the department no later than 4:30 p.m. on November 1, 2017 so that the department may prepare to conduct a concurrent review of all applications.
The letter of intent must include
- A clear, complete, and current description of the proposed activity, including a description of each component of the activity proposed to be undertaken;
- An estimate of the total cost of the project; and
- An estimated starting date and completion date for the proposed activity.

To be reviewed concurrently, an application for a certificate of need for a similar service must be submitted within 60 days after the initial application for a service is declared complete. As soon as the initial application is declared complete, public notice will be issued and will include information on opportunities for public comment and the location where a copy of each certificate of need application may be reviewed.
