Notice of Adopted Changes in the Regulations of the Department of Environmental Conservation for Pesticide Control Amendments

  NOTICE OF ADOPTED CHANGES IN THE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION

Regulations dealing with pesticide control requirements were adopted by the Department of Environmental Conservation on September 21, 2017, with an effective date of October 27, 2017. The regulations have been made permanent and have been filed by the Lt. Governor. The regulations will appear in Register 224, January 2018, of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations changes are summarized as follows:

The pesticide control regulations have been amended to address pesticide product registration, certified applicator categories and process, automatic misting systems, tenant notification, and updates to fees. The changes to pesticide applicator certification and recordkeeping regulations were required for the state to retain primacy for this program in Alaska.
