NOTICE OF PROPOSED CHANGES IN THE
REGULATIONS OF THE REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA
The Regulatory Commission of Alaska (Commission) proposes, in Docket R-17-002, to amend Title 3 of the Alaska Administrative Code to conform state Lifeline program eligibility and certification regulations to recent reforms to the federal Lifeline program, specifically:
- Align the income based programs listed in 3 AAC 53.390(b)(2) with those presented in 47 CFR 54.409;
- Repeal the Commission’s discretion to designate additional income based programs provided in 3 AAC 53.390(b)(3); and
- Revise the state Lifeline customer certification and verification procedures contained in 3 AAC 53.390(e)-(g) to reflect revised federal procedures in 47 CFR 54.410.
