AMENDED SECOND NOTICE with ADDITIONAL INFORMATION EXTENDED COMMENT PERIOD
OF COMPLETED APPLICATIONS FOR A CERTIFICATE OF NEED
The Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) has accepted complete certificate of need applications for the health care facility construction projects from Mat-Su Regional Medical Center and Alaska Regional Hospital. In accordance with 7 AAC 07.060, DHSS will conduct a concurrent review of the applications received.
Project/Activity: Establish Adult Acute Psychiatric Care Services
Project/Activity Service Area: State of Alaska
Both applications are declared complete in accordance with 7 AAC 07.050. A staff analysis of the applications and recommendation must be submitted to the Commissioner by September 25, 2017, unless additional time, not to exceed 30 days, is granted by the Commissioner. A decision by the Commissioner must be made within 45 days of receipt of the staff recommendation unless additional public notice is given that more time is required for the Commissioner to make a decision.

1st PUBLIC MEETING
Oral or written comments may also be submitted at a public meeting to be held on Wednesday, August 16th located in the Frontier Building, Suites 890-896 (joined), 3601 C Street, Anchorage, Alaska 99503. The meeting will be from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
2nd PUBLIC MEETING
Oral or written comments may also be submitted at a public meeting to be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 located on the UAA Campus in Palmer, Room #FSM 202, 8295 E. College Drive, Palmer, Alaska. The meeting will be from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM
