Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Golden Valley Electric Association, Inc. (GVEA) filed tariff revision TA300-13, proposing to update and add provisions governing the nature and types of services offered. GVEA proposes updating Rule 3 (Nature of Service Offered) and merging Rule 4 (Types of Service) with Rule 3 for clarity and organizational purposes. Within Rule 3, GVEA proposes new provisions defining the point of delivery of electric service for overhead and underground systems. Additionally GVEA proposes to revise provisions for Permanent Electric Service and Temporary Electric Service, including clarifying deposit requirements and the definition of Temporary Electric Service. GVEA also proposes to add provisions addressing the interconnection of qualifying facilities, sustainable natural alternative power producers, member-owned small-scale renewable resources, and large generators to the GVEA system. GVEA has added definitions (Interruptible Power Service and Large Generators) and revised the definition of Permanent Electric Service.
