The Local Boundary Commission (LBC) has the constitutional responsibility of deciding whether to approve the petition to incorporate Nikiski as a home rule city. The petition was submitted by Nikiski residents. As part of the petition process, LBC staff will hold a public informational meeting per 3 AAC 110.520 regarding the petition. The meeting will occur at the following location, date, and time:

Nikiski Community Recreation Center
Mile 23.4 of the Kenai Spur Highway
February 21, 2017
6:00 p.m.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for community members to hear about city incorporation standards, to ask questions about the petition and the petition process, and for LBC staff to hear from local residents. This public informational meeting is not a public hearing.  Any written comments may be submitted during public comment periods.
