BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. GC2 Facility Siting Pad Expansion
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources (ADNR), Division of Oil and Gas (Division), has received a Unit Plan of Operations amendment application (LONS 69-026) from BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. (BPXA), received December 6, 2016, requesting authorization to expand the existing gravel pad in order to install additional facilities on the Gathering Center 2 (GC2) pad in the Prudhoe Bay Unit. The Division is providing public notice and an opportunity to comment.

Description: GC2 Facility Siting Pad Expansion
BPXA requests authorization to expand the existing gravel pad by approximately 2.05 acres in order to install a blast resistant module at the GC2 facility. This project would provide a safe location for workers to perform non-operational tasks such as training, breaks, meetings, control, and administrative tasks at the facility.

A copy of the final decision will be sent to any person who provides written comments. Under 11 AAC 02.010(d), only persons who comment in writing during the public comment period will be eligible to file an administrative appeal or request reconsideration of the final decision.
