Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Kenneth and Monique Wilkinson

PROJECT NAME: LAS 24786

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Camp Coogan Bay, approximately 5 miles Southeast of Sitka.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: NE ¼ NW ¼ Sec. 22, T. 56 S., R. 64 E., CRM 

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Kenneth and Monique Wilkinson have submitted an application to the Division of Mining Land and Water (DMLW) for a 5-year Land Use Permit requesting authorization for year-round anchorage of an existing personal-use floathome on state-owned tide and submerged lands in Camp Coogan Bay. The floathome (100’ x 30’), along with three attached floating docks (6’ x 50’; 6’ x 50’; 6’ x 75’), is anchored with 2 anchors and 2 rock bolts below Mean High Water.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE: Start: October 1, 2016         End: September 30, 2021 

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: September 5, 2016

The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 400 Willoughby Avenue/PO Box 111020, Juneau, AK 99811-1020 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
