Re: UPDATED Public Scoping Meetings for the Copper River Basin Area Plan Revision
Dear Fellow Alaskan,
On February 12, 2016, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) provided notice that the agency initiated a two to three year process to revise the Copper River Basin Area Plan (CRBAP). Consistent with that initial notice, this notice is being provided to inform you of the series of public meetings to be conducted as part of the scoping process. DNR will be holding public scoping meetings at the locations and times listed below to explain the planning process, identify issues that may be addressed by the plan, gather information to be considered in the planning process, and solicit your comments and input. You are invited to attend any of these community meetings even if it is not occurring in the community you reside in. The dates, times, and locations of the meetings are as follows:

If you are unable to attend a meeting in person you can still be meaningfully involved in the planning process by reviewing online public notices and information posted on our project website and by submitting written comments during comment periods. Your written comments are encouraged during this planning phase and must be submitted by April 29, 2016 by mail, email, or through submission online through our project website at: http://dnr.alaska.gov/mlw/planning/areaplans/crbap/. Through this website you will be able to view the latest information on the planning process, sign up to the contact list, and submit your plan related comments online.
