Closing Land to Mineral Entry
Point Bridget/Echo Ranch Bible Camp Land Exchange Area
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation (DPOR) and Division of Mining, Land and Water (DMLW), Resource Assessment and Development Section (RADS), proposes the closure of state lands to mineral entry within Lots 3, 6, 16, 17, and 19, Section 13, T.37 South. R. 63 East, CRM and Lot 3, Section 24, T. 37 South, R. 63 East, CRM. This area is proposed by the Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation for a land exchange with the Gospel Missionary EBA, Echo Ranch Bible Camp. The total amount of land affected will be approximately 88 acres.
The public is invited to comment on this proposed action as described in the Decision. Any comments must be received in writing or emailed to Emily Hart at the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land and Water, Resource Assessment and Development Sections, at 550 West 7th Avenue, Suite 1050, Anchorage, Alaska 99501-3579, or emily.hart@alaska.gov, on or before Monday March 14, 2016, to ensure consideration. The public notice and the attachments (Mineral Order and Administrative Finding) are available on the Alaska Online Public Notice System: http://dnr.alaska.gov/commis/pic/pubnotfrm.htm .
Following the comment deadline, all written responses will be considered and this decision may be modified to incorporate public comments. If requested, a copy of the final Mineral Order will be sent to any person who submitted comments on the proposed decision to close the area associated with the Point Bridget/Echo Ranch Bible Camp Land Exchange. The final decision will include appeal instructions.
