ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. Kuparuk Construction Services Pad Northern Expansion

 

 

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources (ADNR), Division of Oil and Gas (Division), has received a Unit Plan of Operations application (LONS 81-212) from ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. (CPAI),dated January 13, 2016, to increase the surface area of the Kuparuk Construction Services Pad (KCS) in the Kuparuk River Unit. The Division is providing public notice and an opportunity to comment.

Description:   Kuparuk Construction Services Pad Northern Expansion

 

CPAI requests authorization to increase the surface area of KCS by approximately 58.6 acres. The existing KCS pad footprint is approximately 61.4 acres. The proposed expansion will increase the footprint to a total of approximately 120 acres. This additional surface area will be used to accommodate rig camps, parking areas, shops and other oil and gas infrastructure.

Please send comments to the Division by email to dog.permitting@alaska.gov, or by regular mail to the Division address above.  All comments must be in writing.  A copy of the final decision will be sent to any person who provides written comments. Under 11 AAC02.010(d), only persons who comment in writing during the public comment period will be eligible to file an administrative appeal or request reconsideration of the final decision.

All comments must be received by the Comment Deadline: 4:30 pm, Alaska Standard Time, March 7, 2016.
