Alaska State Lands Advisory Group Meeting

BACKGROUND
On January 14, 2015, the Citizens' Advisory Commission on Federal Areas (CACFA) passed a resolution under its authority at Alaska Statute 41.37.230 establishing the Alaska State Lands Advisory Group (ASLAG). Among other things, ASLAG has been tasked with understanding, discussing and advising on the viability of and potential for transferring the ownership and/or management of federal public lands in Alaska to the State of Alaska. The group is strictly advisory to CACFA and will not make decisions or set policy for the State.
MEETING INFORMATION
ASLAG will be meeting on January 27 from 10am to 4pm. This meeting is open to the public; opportunity for public comment or testimony will be provided at 1:30pm. A draft agenda is attached to this notice. Meeting minutes will be posted to the ASLAG website at http://dnr.alaska.gov/commis/cacfa/alaskastatelands.htm following the meeting.
REMOTE PARTICIPATION

Written comments may be submitted at any time; any comments received will become public records and subject to inspection.
