Public Open House: Beaver Loop Road Improvements and Pedestrian Pathway Project

Thursday, December 10, 2015
5:00 to 7:00 pm
Kenai Visitor & Cultural Center, 11471 Kenai Spur Highway
Kenai, Alaska

The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration, is proposing to rehabilitate Beaver Loop Road in the City of Kenai, Alaska.  Proposed work would include improving the existing 26-foot wide road to two 12-foot wide travel lanes, new 4-foot wide shoulders, new asphalt pavement, and a separated pedestrian pathway.  Environmental documentation is complete and currently all of the proposed improvements can be accommodated.  We are seeking additional public input as we finalize the location of the pathway.

Please stop by between 5 and 7pm to review the design, visit with the project team, and provide input.

*This meeting will be held in conjunction with the Kenai Spur Highway Rehabilitation Project: Sports Lake Road to Swires Road Open House (www.kenaispurrehab.com).
