Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Chugach Electric Association, Inc. (Chugach) filed tariff revision TA413-8, new language governing the billing process associated with hourly buyback purchases for customer-owned generation facilities with a nameplate capacity greater than 200 kW. Specifically, Chugach proposes that the purchases from these customers will be initially valued at the published buyback rate listed on Chugach Tariff Sheet No. 97 for producers with a nameplate capacity of less than 200 kW. The difference between the rates listed on Chugach Tariff Sheet No. 97 and the actual hourly buyback rates calculated for producers with a capacity greater than 200 kW will be adjusted quarterly on the customer’s bill after the Commission approves the hourly buyback rates. Chugach proposes to submit the hourly buyback rate for review and approval with its next Fuel and Purchased Power Rate Adjustment filing.
