The ALASKA NATIVE LANGUAGE PRESERVATION and ADVISORY COUNCIL
will hold a public meeting on October 16th, 2015 from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
The meeting will take place in the Robert B. Atwood Building, located at 550 W. 7th Avenue, in the large conference room, Suite 1620. The focus of this meeting will be on the the election of the Council's officers for 2015-16 and discussion of the third quarter ethics report.
Background:
In April 2012, the Alaska Legislature passed Senate Bill 130 authorizing the formation of the Alaska Native Language Preservation and Advisory Council. In May, the Governor signed the bill into law and the first Council members were appointed in October 2012.

The purpose of the Alaska Native Language Preservation and Advisory Council is to provide recommendations and advice to both the Governor and Legislature on programs, policies, and projects; and to network and advocate in support of the Council’s mission.
