Notice Of Application To Acquire A Controlling Interest In A Refuse Utility

The REGULATORY COMMISSION of ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on May 6, 2015, BlueArctic Waste Solutions, LLC (BlueArctic) filed an application to allow William Nicholas to acquire a twenty-five percent ownership interest in BlueArctic. BlueArctic holds Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. 756 and is authorized to provide commercial refuse service in portions of Anchorage and in Whittier, Alaska.  Mr. Nicholas is the current General Manager of BlueArctic. The acquisition will not result in a change of management, personnel, or utility equipment.  Docket No. U-15-082 was opened to address this matter.

Along with the application, BlueArctic filed a motion for waiver of the requirements to file a statement of financial condition for BlueArctic and for Mr. Nicholas. 

No petition for confidentiality was filed with the application. The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application or the petition for waiver. The Commission will rule on the petition for waiver and determine whether the application is complete after the close of the comment period.
