The REGULATORY COMMISSION of ALASKA (Commission) hereby gives notice that on January 30, 2015 Golden Valley Electric Association, Inc. (GVEA) filed a petition (Petition) for acceptance of a settlement agreement. The settlement agreement contains a methodology that establishes, for each calendar year, a monthly service charge to be paid by shippers to GVEA and provides that a credit or additional charge to shippers will be determined after actual expenses for that calendar year are known. The Commission has opened Docket P-15-005 to consider the request.

 GVEA currently has only one shipper on its pipeline system, Petro Star, Inc. (Petro Star). GVEA’s Petition requests the Commission accept the settlement agreement and approve the tariff sheets filed with the Petition. GVEA requests that the tariff sheets be effective for service commencing on January 1, 2015. GVEA requests the Commission grant interim and refundable rates, if the Commission cannot grant the Petition and accept the settlement agreement without additional review.

 This notice does not address in detail all of the points contained in the Petition and the Commission may approve or deny (in whole or in part) the Petition, impose conditions on approval, or take other actions to protect the public interest.
