Campus Wide Gruening Roof Replacement

Invitation for Bids Number: 0662014, Project Number: 2014001 CWGRR

 

Sealed bids, in single for the Campus Wide Gruening Roof Replacement project will be received by the University of Alaska, until 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 28, 2014, at the Office of Division of Design and Construction, 590 University Avenue, 2nd Floor, Fairbanks, Alaska, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

 

The work consists of replacement of the existing roof system on the Gruening Building, located on the UAF Campus.

 

Bidders are advised that the University of Alaska has a procedure for accepting alternate products or systems prior to bid opening.  Acceptance of substitutions after award is limited.  See Instructions to Bidders and the General Conditions.

 

Funding for this project is available.

 

Complete bidding documents for this project are available in electronic form.  They may be viewed online and downloaded without charge and without deposit from www.aeplans.com and are available to your local plan rooms and reprographers.  Bidders must register through the website to be notified of addenda.  The bidder is responsible for periodically checking the site.  If software/website technical assistance is needed please call toll free 888-320-3032.

 

Printed copies may be ordered from reprographic companies through the website or by contacting a reprographer directly.  The downloaded files may also be printed on the plan holder’s equipment.  Plan holders are responsible for their own reproduction costs.

 

Bid documents may be viewed at the Office of Division of Design and Construction, 590 University Avenue, 2nd Floor, Fairbanks, Alaska.

 

A pre-bid conference will be held on April 16, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at the Office of Division of Design and Construction, University of Alaska, 590 University Avenue, 2nd Floor, Fairbanks, Alaska.

 

Bid security is required to be submitted with each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. State law requires a bid to be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible "Alaska Bidder" after a five percent (5%) preference and Alaska Products Preference have been applied.  Further instructions are contained within the Invitation for Bids.

 

The University of Alaska reserves the right to reject any or all bids, offers, or parts thereof it deems necessary, to waive any informality in the bid or offer received, and to award in the best interest of the University.
