ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. Kuparuk River Development Project Amendment
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (DOG), has received a Unit Plan of Operations amendment application (LONS 81-212 and 83-100) from ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. (CPAI), dated December 18, 2013, to expand both the Kuparuk Construction Services (KCS) and the Kuparuk Industrial Center (KIC) pads. DOG is providing public notice and an opportunity to comment.

Project Description: CPAI requests authorization to increase the surface area of KCS by approximately 10 acres and KIC by approximately 28.05 acres. The existing KIC pad is located entirely on surface owned by the North Slope Borough. CPAI proposes to increase the surface area of KIC by a total of 47.79 acres, however the scope of DOG review is limited to activity taking place only on the 28.05 acres of surface owned by the State of Alaska; the area of the expansion on North Slope Borough (NSB) land will be adjudicated through a separate review by the NSB.

A copy of the final decision will be sent to any person who provides written comments.
