INVITATION TO BID

Sealed bids for DMVA Building 49040 and 49150 Ventilation Renovations, Project Number 80012, will be received until 2:00 p.m., April 9, 2014 in the main conference room at 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska.

This federally funded project shall provide all necessary construction services to accomplish various ventilation upgrades to two (2) DMVA facilities on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER). The Basic Bid includes demolition and replacement of the designated vehicle exhaust and make-up air ventilation systems in the maintenance bays of Buildings 49040 and 49150, and ventilation upgrades to Building 49040’s  Flammable Storage, POL, and Welding Shop Rooms. Work also includes the upgrade of mechanical, electrical, control and structural systems, and repair/replacement of roofing/walls where Contract work has removed or added penetration items.

There are a total of four (4) Additive Alternates. Each Additive Alternate includes demolition and replacement of designated additional vehicle exhaust and make-up air ventilation systems in the maintenance bays of Buildings 49040 and 49150. Each alternate also includes the removal and replacement of three vehicle exhaust hose reels, one make-up air unit, and appurtenances in support of the vehicle exhaust system.

A site visit will be conducted on February 25, 2014 at 12:30 pm at Building 49040 and 49150 located on JBER, Fort Richardson (approximately 6 miles northeast of Anchorage). Interested bidders need to submit their name to Ericka Moore at ericka.moore@alaska.gov by February 18, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. 

The Engineer's Estimate is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000.  The Project substantial completion date will be August 29, 2014.

Bidding documents may also be viewed at the DOT&PF offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau and purchased for $100.00 per set, payable to the State of Alaska, from the Central Region Plans Room, 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska before 4:30 p.m. (907) 269-0408.
