Taku Parking Lot Metal Stair Design and Installation
Invitation for Bids Number 0112014, Project Number 2013125 PLTMS
Sealed bids, in single for the Taku Parking Lot Metal Stair Design and Installation project will be received by the University of Alaska, until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at the Office of Division of Design and Construction, 590 University Avenue, 2nd Floor, Fairbanks, Alaska, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work consists of selective demolition of the existing sidewalk/ramp and construction of new exterior metal stair to be located immediately along Taku Drive to the east of the Fine Arts Complex across Tanana Loop to connect the Ballantine and Taku Parking Lots. This will also include a new concrete sidewalk and landing work at the top and bottom of the stairs.
Bidders are advised that the University of Alaska has a procedure for accepting alternate products or systems prior to bid opening. Acceptance of substitutions after award is limited. See Instructions to Bidders and the General Conditions.

A pre-bid conference will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Office of Division of Design and Construction, University of Alaska, 590 University Avenue, 2nd Floor, Fairbanks, Alaska.
Bid security is required to be submitted with each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. State law requires a bid to be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible "Alaska Bidder" after a five percent (5%) preference and Alaska Products Preference have been applied. Further instructions are contained within the Invitation for Bids.
