Delta Junction Fish & Game Advisory Committee Meeting

The Delta Junction Advisory Committee will be holding a public meeting in Delta
Junction in the Delta City Hall on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 6:30 pm.
PLEASE NOTE- THIS IS AN ELECTION MEETING.

Agenda items will include the following items:

This AC meeting will also hold an election for 4 Delta Junction Seats. If you
are from the area and would like to serve on this committee, or know someone
who would, please come to the meeting. Names will be collected at the
meeting. All persons of legal voting age are eligible to vote and be elected.

• Election for 4 seats on the Delta AC
• Report on the Fortymile Caribou Herd Harvest Management Coalition Meeting-
Will Kohler
• Update on the Moose Management Meeting
• Latest Moose counts- if available
• Report on Delta Bison Working Group held on November 23- weather dependent
• Further information on Joint Board meeting
• Further Information on the status of the Bonus Point System

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife
issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska
Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are
intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose
includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory
proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a
local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters
relating to habitat, 4) advising the appropriate regional council on resources,
and 5) consulting with individuals, organizations, and agencies.
