Delta Junction Fish & Game Advisory Committee Meeting And Election

The Delta Junction Advisory Committee will be holding a public meeting in Delta
Junction in the Delta City Hall on Wednesday December 30, 2009 at 6:30 pm.

Agenda items will include the following items:
New Business
• Election of new members

• Update on the 40-mile Caribou Harvest Plan -Don Quarberg
• Update on the Delta Bison Management Plan -Steve Dubois
• Update on the Moose population in So GMU 20D -Steve Dubois
• Results from Antlerless hunt- Steve Dubois
• Results for the South 20D population estimates- Steve Dubois
• Update on the Big Game Guide Concession Proposal -Will Koehler
• Comments on the Proposed Changes to the BOG Cycle-Nissa Pilcher
• HB 227 Game Reserve creating the Holitna River Basin ----- Reserve

This AC meeting will also hold an election for 4 Seats, and 2 Alternates. If
you are from the area and would like to serve on this committee, or know
someone who would, please come to the meeting. Names will be collected at the
meeting. All persons of legal voting age are eligible to vote and be elected.

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife
issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska
Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are
intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose
includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory
proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a
local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters
relating to habitat, 4) advising the appropriate regional council on resources,
and 5) consulting with individuals, organizations, and agencies.
