Trail Mix, Inc.

Subject to AS 38.05.850 and 11 AAC 58.210, the Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Trail Mix, Inc.

PROJECT NAME: LAS 32176

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Douglas Island, City and Borough of Juneau

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: SW ¼ SW ¼, Sec. 19, T. 41 S., R. 67 E., CRM

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Trail Mix, Inc. has submitted an application to the Division of Mining Land and Water (DMLW) requesting authorization to replace three public use foot bridges on state-owned uplands along the Treadwell Ditch Trail on Douglas Island. The bridges would be built to USFS trail bridge construction standards and would be maintained by Trail Mix, Inc. DMLW proposes issuance of a 25-year Special Land Use Permit for this purpose.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE: Start: 2018         End: 2043 

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: March 1, 2018

The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 400 Willoughby Avenue/PO Box 111020, Juneau, AK 99811-1020 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
