Chatham Electric, Inc.
Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Division of Mining, Land and Water, the Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Chatham Electric, Inc.
PROJECT NAME: LAS 31701
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Parking and maintenance area adjacent to the Klondike Highway at approximately 59°35’37.3” N, 135°11’05.8” W
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Southeast ¼ of Section 22, Township 26 South, Range 60 East, Copper River Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Temporary placement of a 34-foot Jayco housing trailer on a maintenance area adjacent to the Klondike Highway, Skagway. Two Chatham Electric staff members will be staying onsite to oversee a project involving the upgrade of the existing electrical system for the Skagway Mine Mountain Repeater tower. The public is invited to comment on the requested land use. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
