NOTICE OF WATER RIGHT APPLICATION

Pursuant to AS 46.15.133 and 11 AAC 93.080, notice is hereby given that Weidner Apartment Homes, 7040 Homer Drive, Anchorage, Alaska 99508 applied for a water right on February 11, 2014 (Priority Date) for the Country Lane Apartment Homes. The application proposes the following:

To withdraw up to 13,500 gallons per day for use as domestic water in a 54 unit complex at 810 E 42nd Ave, Anchorage.  The water source is an existing well, 217’ in depth, in  Lot 4, Tudor Corner Subdivision according to Plat No. 67-4, filed in the Anchorage Recording District.

The proposed place of use is Lots 4, 5, 6 and 7A, Tudor Corner Subdivision, as depicted in Plat 67-4 and Plat 69-5, Anchorage Recording District.

Per AS 46.15.133 (a), within 15 days of publication or service of notice, persons may file with the director written objections. Comments or objections must be made in writing by email to lesli.schick@alaska.gov or by mail to Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Water Resources Section, 550 W 7th Ave, Suite 1020, Anchorage, Alaska 99501 by 5:00 p.m. on the last day of the fifteen (15) day public comment period. Pursuant to 11 AAC 93.080 (6), “The public comment period set by AS 46.15.133 (c) begins the first day the newspaper publication appears, or the first day of posting, or upon receipt of the notice as evidenced by the certified mail receipt, date stamp, or other evidence of actual service.”

Objection must include the objector’s name and address, and any facts tending to show that the rights of the objector or the public interest would be adversely affected by the proposed appropriation.
