Prince William Sound/Copper River Regional Planning Team Meeting
Monday, April 15th, 9:00 a.m.
Prince William Sound Regional Aquaculture Association Conference Room
500 1st Street, Cordova, Alaska
A virtual meeting option will be available.
The Prince William Sound/Copper River Regional Planning Team (RPT) will hold its annual meeting at the above date and time. RPTs are a valuable part of the State of Alaska’s salmon fishery enhancement program. RPTs are advisory to the commissioner of Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G). RPTs are composed of six members, three are ADF&G staff appointed by the commissioner and three are fishery representatives appointed by the regional aquaculture association. RPT meetings are open to the public and public participation is encouraged.
A permit alteration request (PAR) to allow Wally Noerenberg Hatchery to increase Power Creek/Ibeck Creek coho salmon releases will be reviewed by the RPT. This PAR does not increase permitted coho salmon capacity at Wally Noerenberg Hatchery. The PAR can be found on the ADF&G website. Annual management plans will be reviewed at this meeting. Discussion may include other topics concerning hatchery-produced salmon.
