Supplemental Notice of Proposed Changes in the
Regulations for the Regulatory Commission of Alaska
The Regulatory Commission of Alaska (Commission) proposes in Docket R-23-001 to adopt regulation changes in 3 AAC 48 of the Alaska Administrative Code addressing the scheduling and conduct of the agency’s public meetings, including the following:
3 AAC 48 is proposed to be changed to address the chair’s ability to cancel a regular public meeting, and to clarify the process for public notice of meetings and conduct of public meetings.
This is a SUPPLEMENTAL NOTICE adding to the NOTICE OF PROPOSED CHANGES issued by the Commission on January 19, 2023. The Commission has released this SUPPLEMENTAL NOTICE to advise the public that the Commission will take additional public comments on the proposed revisions.
You may comment on the proposed regulations, including the potential costs to private persons of complying with the proposed changes, by submitting written comments to the Commission at 701 West 8th Avenue, Suite 300, Anchorage, AK 99501. Additionally, the Commission will accept comments via its website at:

Comments may also be submitted through the Alaska Online Public Notice System, by accessing this notice on the system and using the “comment” link. Comments must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 23, 2023, and should reference Docket R-23-001.

After the public comment period ends, the Commission will either adopt the proposed regulation changes or other provisions dealing with the same subject, without further notice, or decide to take no action.
