Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Office has received applications for the following:

APPLICANT: Northern Star (Pogo) LLC

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The easements for the Pogo Mine site are located off the Richardson Highway approximately 23 miles north of Delta Junction.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The Northern Star (Pogo) LLC has submitted applications to renew previous issued authorizations that are set to expire at the end of 2019.  The authorizations are for controlled access roads, communications facilities, and utilities.  The following easements will be renewed for mining and reclamation purposes at the Pogo Mine:

ADL 416809: Private Exclusive Easement - Mining Road Right-of-Way.
ADL 416817: Private Exclusive Easement - Utility Line Right-of-Way.
ADL 417247: Private Non-Exclusive Easement - Communication Tower Access.
ADL 421276: Restricted Use Management Agreement for road during mine life.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: January 1, 2020.
End: Until end of mine life and reclamation for Pogo Mine.

The public is invited to comment on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK  99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity.  The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
