PUBLIC NOTICE
Hilcorp Alaska, LLC Moose Pad Wellbores Private Non-Exclusive Easement
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (Division) received an easement application from Hilcorp Alaska, LLC (Hilcorp) dated, April 10, 2019, to authorize wellbores drilled from the Moose Pad in the Milne Point Unit (MPU) to cross the unit boundary and extend in to the Kuparuk River Unit (KRU) before coming back around in to MPU. The proposed wellbores and subsequent easement will be authorized under AS 38.05.850. The Division is providing public notice and an opportunity to comment.
Applicant: Hilcorp (see application for contact information)
Project ID: ADL 421155 Moose Pad Wellbores
Location: Umiat Meridian, T13N, R09E, Section 11
Project Description: The project will be located on the North Slope within MPU on Moose Pad. The wellbores will originate and terminate in the MPU; however, because ADL 355023 is outside of MPU and Hilcorp is not the lessee, an easement is required to authorize the KRU portion of the wellbores. This project is subsurface in nature and will not require surface use or access.
