The primary purpose of the meeting is for the division to express appreciation to these volunteer leaders who provide critical input to state park management. Other potential agenda items may include how regional advisory boards can work more effectively together, and the current status of statewide Alaska State Parks projects for the next year.
Alaska State Parks has advisory boards throughout the state appointed by the Division Director and the Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources. Members are selected to ensure representation of a variety of public interests and assist with public input into managing State Park units.
