The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) has determined that the permit application, submitted by the NATIVE VILLAGE OF TUNTUTULIAK for operation of an existing Class III Municipal Solid Waste Landfill in Tuntutuliak, Alaska, is complete. ADEC is proposing to issue Solid Waste Permit #SW3A200-23 to the NATIVE VILLAGE OF TUNTUTULIAK for the disposal of solid waste.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Location: The landfill is located in Tuntutuliak, Alaska on the west side of the existing runway, approximately 1/3 mile from the central point of town, within Section 17, Township 3 North, Range 77 West, Seward Meridian.
This public notice is for an existing landfill that has operated as an unpermitted facility since it was constructed. The landfill will serve the 472 residents of Tuntutuliak. The 1.9 acre site will include a solid waste disposal cell and a storage area for used vehicles and appliances.
