Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Spencer Pape dba Alaska’s River Wild Lodge/Adventures

PROJECT NAME: LAS 32523

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: In southwest Alaska along the South Fork Kuskokwim River, approximately four miles northwest of Tunis Mountain and six miles south of Egypt Mountain, on the west side of Charlie Lake.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: An area not to exceed 1.0 acres located within SW1/4 of the SW1/4 of Section 10, Township 27 North, Range 23 West, Seward Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The establishment, use, and maintenance of a year-round commercial recreation camp used in support of big game guiding, consisting of one 10 feet by 12 feet wooden platform with one 10 feet by 12 feet Weatherport, up to two 10 feet by 10 feet nylon tents (Arctic Oven), and one pit privy, along with the use of short-term (portable) camps.

Start: August 1, 2018
End: July 31, 2023

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity.  To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity.  The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
