The Alaska Department of Natural Resources is re-establishing the Bristol Bay Advisory Group (BBAG) as a forum to foster dialogue on potential land uses, resource management issues, and regulatory matters under the department’s purview in the Bristol Bay region.
The BBAG was an important part of previous land management decisions in the region, including the department’s 1984 Bristol Bay Area Plan.
The purpose of this public notice is twofold: 1.) to solicit interest from stakeholders in the region for future service on the BBAG and 2.) announce a public meeting to gather input from stakeholders on the BBAG’s scope of work.
A solicitation of interest for BBAG applicants is attached to this notice and posted at http://dnr.alaska.gov/commis/bbag/. The solicitation of interest includes instructions for submitting applications, which are due on May 22, 2018.
