Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Fairweather, LLC

PROJECT NAME: Fairweather, LLC 12-acre pad installation - LAS 31760

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: 12-acre pad, located east of Oliktok Point Road between the access roads for ENI’s NOC and CPAI’s Drill Site 3R

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
Within Umiat Meridian, Township 13 North, Range 9 East, Section 9

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Installation of temporary facilities on a portion of 12-acre pad to facilitate atmospheric research involving unmanned aerial systems and tethered instrumented balloons.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: July 20, 2017
End: July 19, 2022

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: June 22, 2017 by 5:00 pm

The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity.  The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
